A friend introduced me to a website I can’t believe I’ve ever lived without. It’s called awkwardfamilyphotos.com and people send in their funny or awkward family photos. pretty self explanatory. I think I’ll post a couple of gems here.
This is one of my favorite songs ever recorded. The video above is of Jeff Buckley performing “Hallelujah”. This is actually a cover but it’s a song that he really made famous with this arrangement. It was originally written by a musician named Leonard Cohen.
Watch the entire video. The end especially reminds me of how powerful music can be. Not just because it inspires, uplifts or provides a few moments of escape but because of how someone playing a guitar and singing some words can actually make you feel something. Jeff Buckley is a great example of someone who understood that. Sadly he died while swimming one night in Tennessee after releasing just one record.
